Objectives of Care for the Institute of Special Surgery
- To provide ambulatory surgery for generally healthy, non-emergent patients, who do not require hospitalization.
- To provide cost effective patient care that is service oriented and reflects the needs of our medical staff to be able to provide their desired level of care.
- To assist patients in meeting their psychosocial, economic, spiritual and physical needs, recognizing that each patient is an individual.
- To reduce the patient's psychological stress associated with surgery by providing a calm, relaxing environment.
- To provide the most comprehensive progressive response, to meet the pre-, intra-, and post-operative needs of each patient.
